Like most artist, I started as a child drawing stick figures. As I advanced to coloring books, I always made sure I stayed within the lines and used the correct colors. I also enjoyed drawing faces, although they were very crude at the time.

Our inspiration was the belief that a staggering amount of artistic talent in our area (Dallas) was going unrecognized and/or underdeveloped. We threw our first live art event "Reach" in February of 2007. The event included painters, poets, musicians, and illustrators, all creating live for (and with) audiences. Our intent was to tear down the walls between the artist and the audience, and create a meaningful connection. Reach was far more successful than we could have expected. Over 300 people came through the doors and shared one of the most memorable nights of our lives.
